Photons - Poem by Gerard Geiger

Particles of light
electric, magnetic
born at 186,000
miles per second.

Racing across ether,
penetrating atmospheres,
searing through clouds,
glistening on gossamer.

Agitating placid
drops of dew,
coercing them to
release their essence in vapor.

Continuing their
viking raids,
taking no prisoners,
leaving life in their wake.
